On the 6th of July, students, teachers, and parents came together to bid farewell to our beloved alumni at the K.C. Thackeray Vidya Niketan ‘Graduation Ceremony’.
The theme of the event was ‘Voice’ and it was inspired by the exemplary courage and grit shown by the batch of 2019. ‘Voice’ was a celebration of our alumni, their dreams, their values, their achievements, and their ‘Inner Voice’. The students put their collective voices to action and stood for their beliefs, making “Voice” an ideal choice to recognise their potential of being the change.
The day was filled with love, laughter, and joy as students and teachers put up some beautiful and soulful poetry and drama performances. Each act was a reminder for our alumni to be independent, to be brave and to always stay rooted to their values.
As is tradition, the school honoured students who demonstrated excellence, resilience and a sense of commitment to their education. Various awards were given to school toppers, subject toppers and the students who excelled at portraying certain values. The very special, ‘Be the Change’ award was given to Bhagyashri Shinde for upholding all the Akanksha values.
Valedictorian, Fiza Ghodke delivered an inspiring speech and shared fond memories of her cohort’s journey at KCTVN.
Bhanupratap Barge, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Pune, attended the event as the chief guest.
As our alumni get ready to move onto the next chapter of their lives, we wish them love, happiness, and success. Shalini Sachdev, School Leader at K.C. Thackeray Vidya Niketan bid farewell to the batch and said, “Each and every one of you has something very special inside – your inner voice. We truly hope that you never stop listening to that Inner Voice”.
A milestone for our grade 10 and 12 students.
In June 2019, the SSC and HSC results were announced and we are delighted to share that Akanksha students outperformed their peers from other government schools in Maharashtra.
Akanksha schools achieved a 94% pass rate with an overall 33% of the students scoring a first-class and 16% of the students got a distinction. 49% of our students have scored more than 60%.
Post the announcement of the results, the Alumni Support & Engagement Team has been supporting the alumni through the admission process for 11th grade and undergraduate college courses. They also conducted career counselling and awareness sessions for alumni to enable them to make informed decisions for the future course of their study.
